Apply *FREE to Showcase & Pitch Your Startup at the 2015 Canadian Crowdfunding Summit! 

Are you a high growth SME, non-profit or crowdfunded seeking maximum reach and opportunity? NCFA is offering a great chance to participate and showcase/pitch/demo your company to leading financiers and summit attendees at the inaugural 2015 CANADIAN CROWDFUNDING SUMMIT (#CCS2015) to be held on March 3, 2015 at MaRS Discovery in Toronto. We have extended the deadline for applications to February 2, 2015, no later than 5pm EST.

We are also accepting crowdfunding applications to live pitch at #CCS2015. If you have a live crowdfunding campaign or are thinking of launching one soon, complete the application below as best as you can. Make sure you indicate the start and end dates for your campaign.

  • Gain invaluable experience by pitching in front of leading investors, mentors, crowdfunding enthusiasts, key startup ecosystem participants, potential customers and #CCS2015 Sponsors and Summit Partners, including the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO), Maple Leaf Angels (MLA), Startup Canada and the Digital Media Zone at Ryerson University
  • A chance to win exclusive prizes from summit sponsors (details TBA)
  • A chance to get interviews, media coverage and time with influential bloggers
  • Opportunity to receive a mentor session hosted by a leading summit sponsor
  • Receive valuable promotion as a participating summit pitcher for you and your company
  • Opportunity to have your company pitch (presentation) recorded and made available in whole/part on the website
  • Selected companies receive 1 FREE Ticket Registration (value $200) to the full day Summit to network with crowdfunding industry experts and learn funding tips & best practices (additional co-founder/team tickets may be purchased at a discount)

 

Who Should Apply?

  • Co-founders of a new startup, small business or non-profit
  • Project owners of a crowdfunding campaign (live or launching soon)

 

Application Instructions

1. Check eligibility

  • Startups: must be operating for a minimum of three (3) months. Pre-revenue or post-revenue both OK
  • Crowdfunders: must have a solid campaign plan; prototypes and demos encouraged
  • Encouraged but not mandatory: be an incorporated for-profit, not for-profit or cooperative organization
  • Pitching categories: Technology, Social (Enterprise), Consumer Goods, Media/Design, Other (please specify)

2. Submit application form before February 2nd at 5PM EST 

  • DEADLINE: Fill out as much information that you can and submit your application to the committee for review by February 2, 2015 @5PM EST
  • All winning submissions will be contacted to prepare for March 3, 2015.  If your company is selected, your company will be given an opportunity to pitch (Format:  6-7 min pitch followed by Q&A) to qualified angel investor judging panel and summit attendees.
  • Only one application per company
  • Once you submit your application you may EDIT it up until the application deadline Feb 2, 2015 @5PM EST

1.  MaRS Auditorium A:  1:30pm - 2:30pm
2.  MaRS Auditorium A:  2:30pm - 3:30pm
3.  MaRS Auditorium A:  3:45pm - 4:45pm

 

Tips for Applicants

All companies selected to pitch at the 2015 Canadian Crowdfunding Summit should demonstrate the following:

  • Core mission, product, or idea that solves a unique problem
  • Demonstrable, measurable success in target outcome areas
  • Business model that demonstrates understanding of operational, financial and strategic plans
  • Evidence of relevant expertise within management/officers and directors
