Initial coin offerings (ICOs) were banned in Beijing earlier this year, but Canada is not following in their footsteps. The Ontario Securities Commission says it recognizes that ICOs don't fit neatly into the existing regulatory framework. BNN spoke with Pat Chaukos, chief of OSC Launchpad for the Ontario Securities Commission, about how the OSC is balancing the demand for ICOs and the need to protect investors from fraud.
