Clarity, an online platform that brokers in the giving and receiving of great advice for entrepreneurs, has partnered with Startup Canada’s Canadian Mentorship Challenge to mentor 10,000 Canadians during Global Entrepreneurship Week, November 12 – 18.

The Canadian Mentorship Challenge is a nation-wide challenge encouraging organizations and groups across Canada to host events that collectively mentor more than 10,000 enterprising Canadians over the course of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Other partners in the Canadian Mentorship Challenge include CATAAlliance, the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), Ernst & Young, Gowlings, and Microsoft BizSpark.

A customized Startup Canada page of mentors participating in the Challenge will be added to the Clarity website. This will complement Clarity’s collection of high-profile experts ready to answer questions on topics such as raising capital, product design, customer acquisition and legal considerations.

“I’m excited to partner with Clarity to support stronger connections between Canadian entrepreneurs and the broader community of experts provided through Clarity’s virtual network,” said Victoria Lennox, Co-Founder of Startup Canada. “Clarity’s one-on-one phonecalls will be a great addition to the face-to-face mentorship events we have other partners hosting across Canada during Global Entrepreneurship Week.”

Since launching in May 2012, Clarity has surpassed 12,000 calls around the world and has recently launched a conference call feature. Dan Martell, Founder and CEO of Clarity, knows the value a conversation can have for struggling or new entrepreneurs.

“As entrepreneurs, we’ve all been in that position – what else can I do or where do I go from here?” said Martell. “We’re about conversations that get entrepreneurs unstuck. We move beyond the question-answer basics to advice that can really impact an entrepreneur’s career from the best source – those that have been there before.”

Mentors and entrepreneurs participating in the Canadian Mentorship Challenge can sign up for the Startup Canada Clarity group here.

The idea for the Canadian Mentorship Challenge was inspired through feedback from entrepreneurs during Startup Canada’s National Tour earlier this year. From March to September, Startup Canada visited 10 provinces to celebrate entrepreneurship across Canada. More than 20,000 Canadians participated in Town Halls and Fringe Events that brainstormed solutions to the top challenges facing entrepreneurs on local, regional and national scales.
