VANCOUVER, Dec 16, 2016 – The National Crowdfunding Association of Canada (NCFA Canada) today announced that Jason Butcher, Global Connector, Innovator and Investor, has joined the Association’s Crowdfunding Ambassadors Program.
Crowdfunding Ambassadors (CFAs) are leaders, educators, supporters and advocates of an inclusive and broad-based crowdfunding industry in communities across Canada. They are circles of influence and ‘go to resources’ for small businesses, organizations and investors to connect with, share and learn about crowdfunding via locally hosted events and initiatives. CFAs are specialists and plugged into an international network of shared resources, thought leadership, and industry professionals striving to cultivate and shape the future of crowdfunding in Canada and beyond.
Jason is driven to make the world a better place and is passionate about bringing innovative people and businesses together across all disciplines with the intention of providing resources and tools to support the growth of others. A seasoned professional with 25 years of hands on experience starting businesses, Jason is a well versed businessman garnering an array of knowledge in business development and planning, brand development, consulting, entrepreneurship, marketing, mentoring, leadership, strategic partnerships, funding, investing, startups and developing international business.
Specializing in entrepreneurship, business development and creating connections Jason strives to bring individuals, markets and opportunities together on a global level. Priding himself on his keen abilities as a solution and problem solver, Jason enjoys mentoring fellow entrepreneurs and advises local and international startups. Jason started Kickstart Business Catalyst to provide a facility to help entrepreneurs materialize their visions. In his spare time, Jason enjoys hiking, skiing, travel, boating and spending time with family. He volunteers for the Canadian Coast Guard Search and Rescue and maintains affiliations with Virgin United, Tedx, DreamTalks, Futurepreneur, Startup Canada, 100 Men Who Care, and the Boys Club Network.
“Jason is an amazing connector and has a natural inclination to help entrepreneurs realize their vision. He applies his business acumen and 'get things done' no fuss, no muss attitude to tasks at hand. It's a pleasure to welcome Jason to the NCFA Ambassador program who will help increase awareness of the opportunities that await both companies and investors in crowdsourcing/financing markets", said Craig Asano, Executive Director, NCFA Canada.
