The Saskatchewan Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority (FCCA) recently released a concept proposal to legalize equity crowdfunding for start-ups with a two year sunset clause. While the sentiment has generally been positive, there are certain concerns that regulators must take into account, such as investor protection, regulation of users, and regulation of portals.
