How to Unlock Google’s Generative AI Search Feature

Google’s latest offering, unveiled at the Google I/O 2023 conference, takes search to the next level with its Generative AI Search feature. Let’s dive into how you can activate this feature, and the perks that come with it!
In the digital age, staying ahead of the curve is essential. This innovative technology delivers AI-generated results directly in the search engine, enabling a seamless and futuristic user experience. However, this is an exclusive feature and requires a sign-up process. For those outside the US, ensure you have a VPN set to the US to access this feature.

🔑 Activating Google AI Generative Search
- Head to labs.google.com and click on “Join waitlist” under the Google Search queue.
- Sign in to your Google account if not already logged in.
- Once signed in, click on the “Join waitlist” button.
Bear in mind that access may take time due to limited openings. Once you receive access through an email, follow these steps:
- Click “Go to Labs” in the email.
- Toggle on the Google AI Generative Search Experience.
- Read and accept the terms and conditions.
Voila! You've now enabled Google's AI-powered search experience on your devices.
🔎 Using the Feature: Head to google.com, enter your search term, and you’ll notice the Generative AI banner. The AI Search Experience scours the internet and instantly presents an answer. You can even engage in Converse mode, which enables you to ask follow-up questions.
