Canada is a huge tourist destination, attracting millions of tourists every single year. There are plenty of different hot spots and sights to see, especially if you’re a fan of hitting the felt tables and looking for a great spot to play some hands of poker.

If you’re looking for popular slot games to play and places to visit, we’ve got you covered! Take a look at this short guide on the top land-based casinos you can find in Canada next time you hit the Great White North.

Casino De Montreal

You’ll find this huge joint in Montreal’s Notre Dam. Casino De Montreal is one of the largest casino resorts not just in Canada - but the entire planet! It’s often seen as one of Canada’s busiest tourist hotspots and regularly attracts over 18,000 people a day when it’s the peak season.

There are plenty of reasons people visit the resort and it’s not just to hit the slots - which there are over 3,000 of. You've also got 100+ table games to enjoy and it even houses a special poker area that has 18 separate poker tables.

If you're a big poker player there are plenty of tournaments held here, as well as tons to do when you’re away from the table. These extra activities include four different restaurants and luxury bars - so you can party and play the tables on the same night if you so choose to.

Casino Niagara

Yet another popular tourist hotspot, as the name suggests the casino is based right next to Niagara falls in Ontario.

It’s a big resort - over 96,000 square feet - with over 40 different table games to enjoy that include popular hits like Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat and Spanish 21. You can also find 26 poker tables if you’re a fan.

Casino Niagara also has a built-in sports section, meaning you can also bet on your favourite team. As you can probably guess, this makes it extremely popular for not just casino fans, but sports fans as well. Couple this with the live performances and you're practically in Vegas!

Caesars Windsor

Caesars is almost a household name when it comes to gambling and it makes sense that they would set up shop in Canada. The Caesars hotel and casino is just a smidge over the American border in Windsor.

Thanks to the huge name you’re going to find some of the latest and greatest casino games and software, including cutting-edge slots, 16 different poker tables to play on and sports betting bar.

They even have AI integration with their hotel, so you can have your own personal butler right on your phone.

Casino Rama

Located on the reserve of Chippewas, Rama, the casino first began its operations in 1996 and has been a popular spot in Rama, Ontario ever since. This casino is well acknowledged for its famous interactions with people on social media, so if you’re planning to visit be sure to inspect their Instagram page to see if there are any special offers you can grab!

The casino and hotel is a huge complex, with over 2500 slot machines and over 100 card games for players to participate in every night. You can also unwind in the on-site spa or enjoy food from one of the many dining establishments. In our opinion, having spa and dining facilities is going above and beyond to try to offer amazing customer service.

The only thing missing from Casino Rama is a dedicated Texas Hold ‘em game, so if you’re a massive fan of that you may be a little disappointed.

River Cree Casino & Resort

Set in the scenic location of Greater Edmonton, the River Cree casino is renowned for its private high-stakes games - if you’re a big player, you may want to check it out. Aside from the high-stakes games, there’s plenty on offer such as the 1300+ slots or 40 table games.

The casino has some of the best customer feedback of any land-based casino outside of the main gambling hubs as the service is second to none. There are also daily competitions if you want to test your skill and also free loyalty cards if you're planning a long trip.

Canada is a great destination to visit no matter what you're after. Whether it be the bustling city life of one of the main cities like Toronto has to offer or the spectacular wildlife of the reserves.
