The Consulate General of Canada to Hong Kong and Macao invites you to participate in the “Canadian FinTech Mission to Hong Kong”, coinciding with Hong Kong FinTech Week (HKFTW), to take place in Hong Kong on November 2-3, 2023.
EVENT OBJECTIVE
- Increasing Canadian companies’ knowledge of the opportunities in Hong Kong
- Placing Canadian companies on an ideal platform to promote innovative technologies to financial institutions in Hong Kong
- Building business networks with potential customers and partners in Hong Kong
- Raising Canada’s profile as a source of innovative technologies and an important player in the FinTech field
WHO CAN APPLY?
All TCS clients that are registered Canadian business entities engaging in FinTech may apply. Applicants will be selected based on their technology’s innovativeness and market potential in the Hong Kong and Macao markets. Priority areas are innovative solutions in WealthTech, InsurTech, RegTech and Green Fintech, as well as those in the technology areas of Blockchain, AI and Data Analytics.
WHY HONG KONG?
With direct flights from Vancouver and Toronto, Hong Kong and Canada enjoy a long-standing bilateral relationship. The Canadian community in Hong Kong, an estimate of 300,000 Canadians, is the largest outside of Canada. These communities help to solidify commercial ties between the two jurisdictions and help to create business opportunities for Canadian SMEs.

- Complimentary admission to HKFTW Conference with searchable attendee list and ability to set up meetings face to face or virtually
- Information booth at the HKFTW Canadian Pavilion
- A personalized pre-arranged meeting program with potential technology partners and clients in Hong Kong, for companies whose technologies fall into the areas identified above and are new to the Hong Kong market
- Note: Successful applicants shall be responsible for their own travel and accommodation.
